IBM will not, IMHO, allow Notes to die. It's too important to their goals and objectives. That said, their goals for the product are probably not the same as yours. They also do not see the market as you do; every measurement they take tells them that the IBM Lotus Notes/Domino market is still very good.

If you want to see IBM Lotus Notes/Domino increase market share and you are waiting for IBM to do something, you will have a long and painful wait. Make your plans accordingly.
